Supporting Survivors – Raising Awareness – Strengthening Community
iDUC (Initiative for Dedicated Upliftment and Care) is a non-profit organisation based in Potchefstroom dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault and supporting survivors in our community.
Turning Pain Into Purpose
iDUC was founded after a life-changing experience that revealed the urgent need for greater awareness, support, and care for survivors of sexual assault within the community.
What began as a personal journey of healing has grown into a mission to create safer spaces, informed communities, and compassionate support systems for those affected by sexual violence.
Today, iDUC works alongside community partners, organisations, and volunteers to provide awareness initiatives and support resources for survivors.
Our goal is simple but powerful:
No one should face trauma alone.

Why Awareness Matters
Sexual assault affects individuals, families, and communities. Awareness and education are key to building environments where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to seek help.
By encouraging open conversations and responsible action, we can help create a culture where support, dignity, and respect are prioritised.
Together we can make a difference.
Whether through partnerships, support, or simply sharing awareness, every contribution helps strengthen the network of care around survivors.
Get involved with iDUC and help us create safer communities.
